Henry William Dalgliesh Cavill (born 5 May 1983) is a British actor. Cavill started his career in acting by starring as Albert Mondego in the 2002 film adaptation of The Count of Monte Cristo. He later appeared in supporting and minor roles on television shows like The BBC’s The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, Midsomer Murders and The Tudors before moving on towards more standard Hollywood films like Tristan & Isolde, Stardust and Immortals.
