Education & Early Life
Falz, was born in Mushin, Lagos State, on October 27, 1990. His sister’s name is Fola Falana.
He was the son of prominent parents Femi Falana and Funmi Falana. After graduating from the Nigeria Law School, Abuja, he was called to the bar.
Falz completed his secondary and primary school educations at St. Leo’s Catholic Primary school, Ikeja and Olashore International school, Osun State were where Falz completed his primary and secondary school education. He graduated from the University of Reading in England with an LLB honours degree in Law.

Career
Falz began music as an avocation in secondary school. With a friend, he formed ” the School Boys“. He released a mixtape in 2009 containing a variety of his recordings, Shakara: Mixtape.
Falz released a single in 2011 titled ” WAZUP Guy“, followed by ” High-Class” (and ” Currency“), which earned him a place in the Nigerian music scene.
Falz was listed in tooXclusive’s “Artistes to Watch in 2014” on January 2, 2014. Falz released his first studio album, Wazup Guy, on 30 May 2014. The album included productions by Studio Magic and DJ Woske. Tin Tin and Spellz were also featured.
Falz returned with an official single, titled “Ello Bae” on 31 January 2015. It was actually his first solo album since Wazup Guy and won him many awards. The music launch was timed strategically as it was released just before Valentine’s Day.
Falz was nominated for the “Best Collaboration Of The Year” category in the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards. This award was for his chart-topping song ” Marry Me“. He was nominated in the Best Collaboration of the Year category at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards. He was also nominated for the “Best Rap Act” and “Best New Act To Watch” categories.
He released “HT0_ Ello Bae ” on 31 January 2015. This single earned him a nomination at Theheadies 2015 for the category “Best Street Hop Artiste Of The Year”.
He announced on 3 November 2015 that he would be releasing his second studio album, Stories That Touch. It was released on 17th November.
Falz won the “Best Actor/Series in Comedy Movie/Series” award at 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards. He played the role of Segun on Funke‘s TV show Jenifa’s Diary. Falz was voted the winner in June 2016 of the “Viewer’s Choice Best New International Act” category at the 2016 BET Awards.
He collaborated with Simi on October 27, 2016 to release Chemical. This seven-track EP was produced exclusively by Sess. Falz previously collaborated with Simi to produce singles ” Jamb Questions” (and ” Soldier“), respectively.
Falz released a new album, 27 to celebrate his 27th birthday. It was unpromoted before it was released, so this was a surprise album. It featured 17 tracks, including hits like ” Bhad Baddo Baddest“, Wehdone sir“, or ” Something Light“. It featured notable music acts such as Olamide, Burna Boy and Maleek Berry, Sir Dauda. Terry Apala and Ycee.
Falz released a music video entitled ” This Is Nigeria” in May 2018. It was inspired by Childish Gambino’s ” This Is America“. It highlighted Nigerian problems, such as corruption and bribery.
Months later, NBC ( National Broadcasting Commission) banned the song for being vulgar. When Falz was asked about the song, he replied that “if they ban this song then I don’t understand them” because it is not a vulgar tune. Falz sues NBC to get N100 million.
Falz unveiled his film production company in August 2020 under the name House21TV. The new film production company Falz was also revealed on Instagram. A brand-new comedy series called Therapy will air exclusively on YouTube.
Personal Life
Simi was married to Adekunle Gold. Media rumors had once suggested that Falz thought Simi was her girlfriend. Many realized Falz wasn’t her boyfriend after her marriage to Adekunle gold.
Falz is single and has no girlfriend. For now, he has no children or wife.
