David Adeji Adeleke, a Nigerian-American musician and singer, was born November 21, 1992. Davido is a professional name for the singer, songwriter and record producer.

After releasing Dami Duro’s hit single in 2012, he became a well-known face in Nigerian music. To critical acclaim, he released Omo Baba Olowo in 2012, his first studio album. He won The Headies 2012’s Next Rated Artiste award for Omo Baba Olowo after the release of his second single.

In July 2016, he signed a contract to RCA Records, a division of Sony Music. In 2017, he released the top-charting singles If and Fall. Both singles were hugely successful internationally. Fall was the longest-charting Nigerian song in Billboard history.

His second studio album, A Good Time was released in November 2019. A Better Time was released in 2020. Davido, who was previously signed to HKN Records, founded DMW (Davido Music Worldwide).

Early Life

Davido was the first child of Mr. Adeji Adeleke, and Mrs. Veronica Imade Adeleke. He was born on 21 November 1992. He is the last of The Adeji Adeleke Familie. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He is the youngest of five siblings.

He was born in Atlanta but he went to school in Nigeria and returned to Georgia for the holidays. His father was a business tycoon and his mother was an academic lecturer. Davido was ten years old when his mother, Veronica Imade Adeleke died. He is the son of Shina Rambo, and B-Red, who are his first cousins.

Davido originally wanted to be an music producer. He bought equipment to create beats while at Oakwood University. Davido also had a passion for music promotion and was determined to promote the music career of his cousin. Unfortunately, his cousin didn’t like the idea. He was encouraged by his friends to record his songs.
